Fight camp has officially begun, so how am I doing mentally? Surprising really fucking good to be honest. Trust me, I’m just as shocked as you are. Talk to any high-level, elite, professional mixed martial artist and they’ll tell you that the preparation of fight camp is one of the most physically grueling and mentally […]

So you didn’t have the best last experience when it came to competition, right? Maybe you suffered a devastating loss after months of hard work and preparation, or suffered a freak or catastrophic injury, or even were the victim of illegitimate reffing and a bad call (gee, wonder what that can be in reference to)? […]
Read moreWhat’s Your Love Language?
The 5 languages of love are vital to any relationship in your life; romantic, platonic, and familial. Many of us usually have a specific language we gravitate towards when receiving, and something completely different when we are giving and they often don’t always reciprocate. I know that rings true for my case personally, but it […]

People lie, people embellish, people exaggerate, people photoshop, and people present a falsehood to heighten their sense of self. Many […]
Read moreIt’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like F*** This
My current attitude may or may not be a reflection of my current state of mind being that I am these days relegated to the couch instead of the gym more often than not. I mean, earlier this week I was literally struggling to hamstring curl 10 freaking pounds. Granted, I had knee surgery only […]

m not unfamiliar with hardships, trials and tribulations, and setbacks needed to conquer in my martial arts journey. MMA and BJJ are without a doubt the hardest, yet most rewarding feats I have ever dared to partake in. But the road to success has never been paved with smooth asphalt, but instead, littered with potholes and roadblocks along the way. I guess all the physical pain and mental anguish I have endured along the way have made me truly appreciate the things I have also accomplished, but dammit I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t ready for a little bit of good to meander my way. Nothing is hard enough to keep me from my goals though, and that is for sure something I guarantee.
